Q2Cinemas Child Safety Standards and CSAE Prevention Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026
At Q2 CINEMAS, protecting children and preventing child sexual abuse, exploitation, and harm is our absolute highest priority. We are fully committed to providing a safe, positive, and secure environment for all our users. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of child sexual abuse, child sexual exploitation, or child sexual abuse material (CSAM) / child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
This Child Safety Standards document outlines our practices, enforcement policies, and reporting structures to comply with international, national, and local laws, as well as digital platform policies regarding child safety.
Q2 CINEMAS has a strict, absolute zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Under no circumstances do we allow, condone, or tolerate:
The creation, transmission, sharing, viewing, hosting, or linking of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSAE), including online grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, and sextortion.
Any content or behavior that facilitates, depicts, or encourages the exploitation, abuse, or harm of children.
Any account identified as sharing, possessing, or facilitating CSAM/CSAE will be immediately and permanently banned, and all relevant details will be reported to the appropriate legal authorities.
Q2 CINEMAS empowers our community to actively report child safety concerns directly within the application. We provide prominent in-app reporting tools on user profiles, posts, messages, and comments.
To report a concern in-app:
Navigate to the content, profile, or message that violates safety guidelines.
Tap the Options/More menu (usually represented by three dots or a gear icon).
Select 'Report' and choose the 'Child Safety' or 'Exploitation/CSAE' reporting option.
Provide any additional context or details, then submit the report.
All reports related to child safety are immediately escalated to a dedicated safety and compliance team for priority review. We triage and act on child safety reports immediately, with an SLA targeting prompt review and immediate action.
Q2 CINEMAS complies with all relevant national and international child safety laws. We work closely with regulatory agencies and law enforcement to keep children safe online.
Upon discovering or receiving reports of CSAM or CSAE, we immediately:
Remove the offending content and terminate the offending user's account.
Preserve necessary evidence in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
File an official report with regional and national authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India), as well as local law enforcement authorities having jurisdiction.
To proactively prevent CSAE and CSAM on our platform, we employ a combination of technological safeguards and human oversight, including:
Automated Content Filtering: Using industry-leading screening systems and hashing technologies (such as PhotoDNA and MD5 databases) to detect and block known CSAM/CSAE before it can be uploaded.
Keyword and Metadata Detection: Flagging suspicious phrases, metadata, and communication patterns indicating potential grooming or child sexual exploitation.
Human Moderation: A trained team of content moderators reviews flagged accounts and content to verify violations and take enforcement action.
Safe Product Design: Implementing age-appropriate default settings, restricting search terms commonly associated with exploitation, and flagging cross-age communication to limit contact between adults and minors.
We have designated a dedicated compliance officer as the point of contact to handle inquiries, reports, and compliance regarding our child safety practices, CSAE prevention, and CSAM response.
Our designated point of contact is trained and ready to speak about our child safety practices, regulatory compliance, and prevention mechanisms.
